Final Summary

I found my project alot harder than i first expected, but that was probably because I had to do everything on my own although I enjoyed working alone in the end. I didnt realise how time consuming 'f'ilm making' can be and how much effort it requires.
Finding music was also quite hard to do, because the pace of the music has to fit with the pace of the sequence, but i managed in the end.
Overall I am very pleased with my work and I would do it again.

Audience Testing

I wrote a questionaire for people to fill out whilst watching my final product. I manage to survey 4 people, which all fit into my target audience age range.
The results were very positive. All the questions were answered and the overall impression I got from the people was that my opening sequence made sense.
From this audience testing I found out that, the close-up shots were very effective and the flashbacks cut in between close-ups worked really well. The music and the pace created the right atmosphere.
The only thing Ive found I would have probably done differently is experimented with the lighting and fake blood abit more as at times the lighting is too dark and the fake blood looks unrealistic.

I have now got all my footage and my editing is near enough finished. My music fits my sequence really well, and creates a good tense atmosphere. I am happy with my work.

I have been through my sequence thoroughly and decided I need a few more shots so that i can continuity edit my shots and make them flow. I am going to get all my extra shots and stay behind college hours on Thursday 15th.

I am currently editing my sequence and it is going quite well, I am pleased with my work so far. Although one problem has occurred. When my sequence is played back, the picture looks really grainy and pixilated. There isn’t anything I can do to solve the problem and it isn’t my fault, as it is to do with the amount of light the camera is getting. As I want the lighting to be quite dark and gloomy to create an eerie atmosphere, I am going to have to leave the sequence as it is.

Tonight I have got two more shots to film and then that should be all my filming done. Then I will concentrate entirely on editing and fitting my music to my sequence.

I am going to stay behind college hours on Tuesday 13.01.09 and get some extra time on my editing as I’m slightly behind time.

During the break, I filmed a few shots, but didn't manage to film them all. I am going to film all the rest of my shots tonight, ready for tomorrow.
When I have got all my shots I will try and piece a basic sequence together and then get on with my editing.
